Main Responsibilities:
As a Logistics Manager you and your team will organize deliveries, prepare export documents and invoicing as well as delivery advising for receiver. You will actively be in contact with the subsidiary companies, global customers, forwarding and shipping companies, banks in letter of credit issues and CAD-shipments, insurance companies for claim issues. The work requires continuous training and awareness of international situations, and also geographical knowledge.

1. To management transportation and trade compliance operations
? Responsible for transportation management
? Responsible for import and export operations
? Understand import and export regulatory framework and follows the changes in global import and export regulatory environment
? Identify and develop import and export processes
? Manage transport companies for quality, cost and volume
? Controls that processes are implemented and followed
? Accountable for internal guidelines
? Solves requests from authorities
? Recognizes potential compliance risks in Trade Compliance area for Services
? Proactively anticipates change needs and drive necessary actions
? Facilitate competence development and knowledge sharing by providing training
? Ensure Service Providers to follow Valmet procedures

2. Supply Chain and transportation development
? Drive structural, sustainable improvements of end to end operational processes to increase overall Services performance
? Develop and manage supply chain transparency and visibility for performance and cost for transportation
? Create proposals for structural network changes, new network capabilities and suitable policies and processes
? Collect business requirement specification for process and IT systems improvements in the relevant area

3. Reporting
? Analysis of transportation cost and consequent impact to Services supply Network
? Transportation leadtime
? Transportation quality claims
? Operative analysis, KPI measurement and reporting across the logistics

4. The success in this role will be measured against following KPI’s
? Transportation cost
? Transportation lead time
? Amount of transport claims

Requirement:
? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics or Business
? Minimum 7 years’ experience in international logistics
? Strong experience in forwarding and transportation management including special processes
? Ability to conduct deep financial analyses and good judgment to determine best course of action
? Customer service mindset
? Excellent organizing skills
? Proven Management Skills
? Change Management Skills
? Ability to work efficiently and independently under pressure
? Good and prompt communication skills
? Ability to communicate across organizations and cultural boundaries
? Ability to quickly gain a deep understand of business processes and products for relevant part
? Good skills in English language
? Good working knowledge of ERP systems with experience with SAP is preferred
? Normal windows applications
? Ability to travel (max 10%)
