Amazon.cn is seeking a Senior Vendor Manager in Camera department based in Beijing to broaden our camera and accessory product selection, and ensure a high level of product availability and competitive pricing to meet our revenue and margin goals. This person will be responsible for developing, negotiating, and managing key vendor relationship and work with cross functional teams to ensure the highest level of customer experience and make Amazon the most authoritative shopping destination for many of imaging products including, digital camera, accessories, optics and surveillance camera in China. Additionally, the candidate will play a leadership role outside of the direct team in areas such as operations, website experience, retail systems, and process improvements.

? Manage the key business inputs of selection, pricing/promotion, and availability to achieve our sales and margin targets
? Develop and lead strategy for vendor negotiations on an annual basis.
? Represent Amazon when meeting with senior executive teams from top vendors and build long term strategic relationships
? Development and execution of merchandising, marketing and promotional.
? Collaborate with cross functional teams on systems and processes improvement initiatives to support business needs.
? Integrate strong and clear analysis and business rationale into sound decision making
? Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects & partner relationships - work prioritization, planning and task delegation

A successful Senior Vendor Manager must be able to:

? Act as the “business owner” for the categories, possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact our business (this entails owning forecasting, monitoring, understanding and reporting on the category, along with responsibility for driving strategic projects and promotions to achieve business objectives).
? Have a thorough understanding of the industry, seasonality and global trends/events, and continually monitor the underlying technological development.
? Maximize Amazon’s long-term business profitability.
? Have a complete understanding of the customer needs, both existing and potential, and use that knowledge to deliver site features that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled shopping experience.
? Manage key vendor relationships, negotiate and secure marketing funds.
? Create business plans for new opportunities and develop and execute project plans for the launch of new features, incorporating merchandising and pricing strategies
? Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external parties, while meeting tight deadlines.
? Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets.

Basic Qualifications

? This position requires a minimum of a BA/BS. Preferably, in a quantitatively-oriented field such as Business, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or Mathematics from a top academic program.
? Proven negotiating skills and influencing abilities with small and large vendor partners
? 6+ years of successful track records in buying, account management, product management, project management, financial analysis, and/or management consulting
? Strong ownership, attention to details, result-oriented, and a business curiosity.
? Strong verbal and written English skills.
? Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

? MBA from a well-known program
? Experience in managing a team and P&L
? Passion and previous experience about consumer electronics and technology
? Experience in building and growing new business
