We are looking for a field experienced manager with an aptitude for define improve opportunity, lead improvement project and drive the financial results for our critical business. If you have good 6 Sigma & Lean production experience, can demonstrate preventive and systematic problem solving and project managing to meet the following requirements, then we are looking for you to join our team.


Key Areas of Activity:

Reporting to operations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day to day lean manufacturing operations activities. Which included but not limited
1. Lean practice implementation in Tianjin;
2. Support operation area Lean projects and drive the continues improvement activities;
3. Support Global CI programme and summary Tianjin CI performance;
4. Lead or participant Kaizen events and Tianjin Kaizen system with HAND ON work style.
5. Carry out new Lean project and build up Tianjin factory Lean cultures;

Key Responsibilities in Detail:

Summary

This job will support Cornelius Tianjin plant operation area improvements to meet the business objectives esp. on quality improvement and productivity improvement and cost control. The ideal candidate would be required to have more than 3 years experience in define improve opportunities, build up the Lean production culture, lead improvement project and drive the financial results for our critical business. Candidate should have good 6 Sigma & Lean production experience, can demonstrate preventive and systematic problem solving and project managing to meet our business requirements. Build up our factory lean production culture and continues improve the Kaizen system and CI system.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Lead projects: Using the lean production knowledge and lean tools to lead improvement projects. Project leadership includes identifying opportunities, defining and financially justifying projects, launching project teams, using good project management to manage team activities, leading teams to execute projects with the problem solving methodology, tracking project status and results, removing and elevating project barriers, and developing team members.
2. Key objective: To continues improve our key process quality level and capability; To improve the production productivity and reduce the lead time; To reduce the cost of our business;
3. Key focus: To focus on the process improvements, such as process quality improvement, Line balance and re-layout, labours and equipments efficiency improvement, material usage and in process control and 5S conditions improvement;
4. CI System: To maintenance the Kaizen system of Tianjin and support global CI projects to drive Tianjin factory Kaizen events and build up lean culture.
5. To train the key factory team members about the lean knowledge and tools; To improve Tianjin training system. To drive the CMS results and data collection system;
6. Other duties may be assigned as required.
7. Comply with ESH rules.

Key Requirements:

1. Bachelors Degree preferably in Engineering or Business, or equivalent work experience. 3 years of professional level experience in leading improvement teams. Prior supervisory experience is a plus. Should have solid project management skills and leadership skills.

2. Experienced in managing role of Lean or six sigma improvement program, using the improvement tools such as VSM, Line balance, Kanban, Poke-Yoke, DOE, pull system, visual control and 5S e.g.

3. Ability to lead and direct an improvement team. Must be a results orientated “change agent” who is an effective business systems thinker.

4. Effectively communicate with all levels to maintain relationships and cooperation in pursuing the business goals. Must be able to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to reach consensus around common goals.


5. Understand statistical analysis tools/methodology, strong PC operation and software skills (including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), project management, continuous improvement, quality and basic financial principles and apply them to analyze the planned activities.


6. Team leadership and inflexibility to changes due to both internal and external pressures.

7. Good oral and written English. Good communication and reporting skills.
