The Wheatstone LNG Project is a multi-train Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and domestic gas (DomGas) plant near Onslow Australia. Bechtel is honored to participate in the engineering, procurement, construction, and start-up of this LNG plant. This position will be located at the subcontractor’s facility in Tanggu China.

Role Overview
1. Provide administrative assistance to HR department and others.
2. Communicate mobilization details to incoming National employees. Coordinate with Transportation coordinator and Office Coordinator to prepare meet/greet and workspace for arrival.
3. Conduct HR orientation for National employees and collect hiring documents. Answer employee’s regular inquires and provide information.
4. Organize material for meetings, presentations, and training sessions as requested. May set up and operate a variety of audiovisual equipment in the presentation of programs, orientation, and conferences. Take meeting minutes.
5. Organize daily lunch orders.
6. Assist employees with expense reports and time sheets.
7. Translate documents from English to Mandarin and Mandarin to English. Serve as interpreter.
8. Serve as backup to HR colleagues ensure their activities are taken care of, especially processing and monitoring of visas/permits application such as Work Permit, Residency Permit.
9. Communicate information to HR Manager and HR Representative regarding employee issues.
10. Support the creation of work environment that fosters trust, communication, teamwork and satisfaction.
11. Promote a safe work environment and provide leadership implementing Bechtel’s Zero Accident philosophy.
12. Participate in Zero Accident Plus Program

Job Knowledge
1. Computer literate in MS Office suite, including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
2. Knowledge of Chinese and international HR Practices and regulations
3. Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin and English.
4. 3-5 years HR administration experience, preferably working with international employees
Position is located in industrial port area nearby the city of Tianjin, China.

Other Remarks/Qualifications
Must be able to communicate in Chinese and English. Must accept relocation to TEDA or Tanggu. Must agree with Flexible working schedule (60 hours per week).
