Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate and qualify new suppliers to develop regional worldclass supplier base in Asia.
- Set and meet cost containment/ reduction targets by pursuing opportunities through alternate sourcing, design improvements & benchmarking.
- Manage supplier base to ensure quality level and cost improvement.
- Resourcing of parts for product transfer/NPI.
- Manage sourcing process from quote pack preparation, review of technical & commercial matters, negotiations with suppliers and final selection.
- Supports Production & Material Management teams to achieve optimum inventory level.
- Coordinate with R&D/Product engineers with product transfers and new product developments.
- Coordinate with all A/P manufacturing sites to consolidate and optimize pricing on direct materials.
- Develop strategies in conjunction with other world area procurement organizations to maximize the use of AP low cost suppliers.

Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Material Science
- 5 years experience in Procurement/ Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Preferably with experience in Material Management
- Good knowledge of castings/ forging/ metal fabrication
- Possess good analytical & negotiation skill
- Familiar with commercial terms and conditions
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- People management skill required
- Strong Project Management Skills and experience in NPI/Product transfer projects
