General Description:
Provide technical expertise, leadership and direction to the manufacturing engineers within the team environment. Coordinate the manufacturing engineering resources to support both the Application Eng. Product Teams as well as operations relative to complex projects on new product launches and existing product line changes. Assure Company is at the fore front of state-of-the-art world class manufacturing technology, in order to attain continuous improvement and be a technology leader.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- Interface with production, application engineering, tool engineering, accounting, materials, sales and the customer regarding technical direction, cost reduction opportunities and priorities.
- Interface with other BW facilities in assessing organizational needs relative to new process technology, cost reduction, technical direction, priorities and new business opportunities.。
- Advises and provides direction in process and product development to stay competitive in the marketplace.
- Provide leadership, direction and task interdependencies to their team members and to develop, with their team, action plans to meet Business Operating System (BOS) objectives. Also serve as a consultant and mentor to engineering and management personnel, sharing knowledge, experience and expertise in the fields of manufacturing process technology and project management.
- Apply a diversified knowledge of engineering principles and business practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. The position makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods. A continuing awareness of existing technology within the incumbent's area of specialty must be maintained through exposure to professional journals and attendance at trade shows, bench marking and cross functional training with both product and production engineering groups. Also be a member of the manufacturing council and must be able to interact with all BW-TS facilities worldwide.
- Defines total manufacturing system concept for new products & part numbers based on achieving:

？ Customer quality expectations at 0 PPM and a 2.0+ Cpk level
？ Maximum manufacturing cost & investment effectiveness
？ Consistency with GPLM Manufacturing & Product strategies
？ Assure environmental & ergonomic issues are in compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering .
- MBA or Master Degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Operations Engineering is preferred
- +8 years experience in manufacturing engineering or production operations
- Proven record of competence in an engineering discipline
- Working knowledge and experience in implementation of operational concepts and tools (Kaizen, SMED, OEE, PFMEA, etc.)
- 6 Sigma training & experience preferred
- Management presentation skills and experience
- Project leadership experience desired
- Experience with general office computer tools (word processing, spreadsheets, and office communications);
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English.
