Position Summary
This role is focus on project management for supply chain from sourcing, product transfer, big order placement, escalation and crisis management aspect. The person is required to have sense of urgency and able to work out a plan with clear timeline with all the involved parties. It is imperative for the person to work closely with BU or each sites to agree on the plan and resources required. The project management can include product transfer to China supplier, defining sourcing strategies for certain commodity, big order placement follow up, development and execution of supplier consolidation, negotiation etc. This role preferably to have experience with forging and casting industry.

Specific Requirement
- Product transfer into supplier in China. Able to lead, execute and communicate back to all the stakeholders on the project status, benefit and potential risk. The person needs to show good leadership and communication to ensure good execution of the plan. He/she needs to possess project management skill with good command of Microsoft project (Gantt chart), Excel and powerpoint knowledge.
- Define sourcing and supplier strategies. Work with BU to understand the sourcing needs and leverage on the category strategies available to pull plans which buy in from the relevant BU parties. Execute the plan with clear timeline which show good benefit especially cost saving to the BU. This role also required the person to be able to identify the risk with supplier and remove all the roadblocks ahead. The person needs to put up proposal to justify the selection.
- Good understanding on the supply chain culture in China and able to guide the BU in this regards to ensure a proper plan is put in place. He/she needs to have balance view on all the key aspect and not only assessing from cost reduction standpoint. Supplier financial risk, compliance and assurance of supply in long term is equally important in the recommendation.
- Independent and able to execute the project with individual leadership, pull the resources together and execute timely on the agreed plan. He/she is able to interact with all level of people internally and externally to collect key information and execute the project.
- Preferably, he/she possess the experience/knowledge in forging/casting industry and familiar with carbon steel, stainless steel and brass material.
- As this role primary is on project management, it is imperative for the person to have good knowledge in Microsoft project, Excel and Powerpoint.
- He/She needs to have good English and Mandarin in writing and verbal communication skill. The person needs to agree in flexible working hour as he/she needs to interact with US and Europe counterparts.

Minimum Qualification

EDUCATION:
Essential: Bachelors degree or above in supply chain management, combined with appropriate purchasing related trainings. Good in Microsoft Project, Excel and Powerpoint.
Nice to have: MBA degree

EXPERIENCE:
Essential: More than 5 years purchasing experience and at least 2 years in a procurement management position for an international company.
Nice to have: MNC exposure and interaction with different cultures or have international exposure before. Have forging and casting experience.

LANGUAGE:
Essential: English at high level in speaking and writing.
Mandarin: fluent;

Essential:
- Microsoft Office skill – Project, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.

- Ability to plan, manage and execute projects.
- Ability to anticipate and resolve conflicts and obstacles.
