Your responsibilities will include providing input and leadership in the New Product Development for plastics part development from concept stage through to successful production. Experience must include knowledge of plastic part design, injection mold tool design and tool proofing, processing and materials. You will analyze plastic part design for: optimum molding process performance, optimum tool design and robust production. Moderate to extensive travel is required.

Qualifications include a BS in Engineering in a relevant discipline, (Mechanical Engineering or Plastics Engineering preferred), a minimum of 1-2 years in the design of injection molds and CAD, approximately 1-2 years of experience in tooling program management, approximately 1-2 years in plastic part design experience. Working knowledge and experience with MoldFlow, and part and tooling DFM a plus. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, (Good English verbal and writing skills), organizational skills, project management skills, be a productive team members. Proficient in NX is a plus.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Plan, organize, and conduct large plastic and tooling related projects. Develop and apply advanced engineering theories and methods. Solve complex technical problems related to plastics and / or tooling. Originate improved plastic part design for cost effectiveness, quality, time-to-market, and manufacturability. Evaluate supplier capabilities. Procure tooling, repair components and production parts. Make decisions on engineering problems. All above will be under supervision of current Plastics Engineers at Bose.

? Design reviews and resolution
? Tool teardown inspection and reports
