Amazon has developed a number of innovative and fast-growing Carrier businesses including cooperating with China Telecom, China Unicom and China Mobile consistently.

As a Vendor Manager on Carrier business team you will work closely with Amazon's technical development team, operation team, Wireless retail team and product management team to manage and grow strategic partnerships with the subsidiaries of Carriers. In the role you will own all aspects of our Carriers with key vendors including merchandising, selection expansion, promotions, pricing and identifying and driving new initiatives with the goal of creating a phenomenal site experience to help customers find, discover and buy Carrier Service Bundled Phones.

The Vendor Manager will be responsible for managing vendors and brands within Carrier category, developing the strategy and vision for these vendors and brands, and achieving revenue and margin goals. The scope of this role includes:
? Develop a strategic vision for the vendors and brands;
? Identify new growth opportunities;
? Define the roadmap to achieve category leadership within the market segment;
? Manage existing key vendors for profitable growth;
? Recruit new top-tier vendors;
? Broaden our product selection relevant to our customer needs;
? Ensure competitive pricing;
? Analyze business data to find root cause of issues;
? Review and validate promotions;
? Work with stakeholder teams to deliver the best-in-class customer experience.

Additionally, the Vendor Manager needs to take an active leadership role in these areas:
? Improve inventory availability, inventory efficiency and purchase efficiency;
? Identify opportunities to drive overall supply chain efficiency;
? Drive item data quality improvement;
? Develop or optimizes processes in retail operations;
? Lead business process innovations.

The successful candidate will have experience working with external vendors; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and a strong will to get stuff done and deliver results. Keys to success also include:
- Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Proven negotiating skills and influencing abilities
- Superior communication skills, high attention to detail, comfortable rolling up their sleeves and getting scrappy to get stuff done
- Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
- Strong Interest in Carrier industry
1. Basic Qualifications
? Excellent in business negotiation ability
? Exceptional communications skills with strong change management skills
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills
? Proven track record in taking end-to-end ownership and driving results
? Willingness to roll up sleeves to do what is necessary
? Proficiency with business analysis and Excel
? Good in English reading and writing
? Demonstrated ability to coordinate across functional teams, including engineering, marketing, design and merchandizing teams
? Fluency in English and Mandarin
? Bachelor Degree
2. Preferred Qualifications
? MBA from a well-known program.
? Knowledge and previous experience in the mobile phone industry
? E-commerce, distributor, manufacturer, and/or retail experience preferred.
? Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and meet deadlines.
