Day to Day Responsibilities:

- Act as a liaison for the IP Department to support CRCC and other S&T operation in Corning Great China for IA generation, IA protection, IP landscaping and IP strategy development, and provide leadership and management within CRCC for these matters.

- Provide patent search, advice and follow up on Invention Disclosure (ID) writing, ID submission and follow up on patent filing for the projects

- Monitor and analyze competitive patent filings and work with project leaders and lawyers at the IP Department to develop IP strategies for key programs

- Develop and manage IA protection plan for CRCC and other S&R operation and technical programs in Greater China; work with IP, Legal, IT and IS for Corning IA protection and knowledge management

- Act as a liaison with Corning Innovation Effectiveness and S&T innovation process leaders

- Act as the Innovation Process Leader for CRCC and facilitator to support Project Managers to all key programs/projects;

- Provide innovation process training to CRCC scientists and engineers

Education & Experience

- BS or MS in Science or Engineering or related majors;

- Preferably 3+ years of experience in innovation process,ID drafting, patent searching,IA protection or IP landscaping for R&D
- Preferably 3+ year experience in working with Multinationals

- Ability to craft and review invention disclosures and other documents related to IA management and protection
- Overall understanding of Multinationals’ businesses/cross-functions

- Excellent communication/presentation skill and people skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese
