Job description:
1. Leadership & People Development
a) Hire, terminate, evaluate performance, coach, develop, motivate, delegate and mentor employee
b) Set clear expectations and monitor performance of direct reports, review and provide timely performance feedback.
c) Create individual development plan for direct reports, coach them to get onto a higher level of competences to prepare qualified leaders for plant operation and company business
d) Create and follow up on succession planning as a long-term preparation for the company development
e) Establish positive employee relations through participative leadership
f) Champion change initiatives that aim to restructure and upgrade current operations
2. Strategy, Action Plan & KPI
a) Act as plant management representative to participate company, product line, and regional activities in order to setup and decide on policies, organizations and targets and operations targets.
b) Setup operations strategy and action plan which aligning with company business strategies and regional strategies. Provide overall leadership to ensure strategy implementation and objective realization in all operation units.
c) Perform budgeting and target setting of plant operations, related to investment, cost, human resource, production capacity and so on, to ensure the synergies and full utilization of the resources in the plant.
d) Set up clear KPIs and cascade down to all direct functions. Deliver positive results with respects to high-quality product and service, cost-effective production activities, on-time delivery, PCR indictors and other KPIs agreed by management.
3. Operation Management
a) Plan, organize and direct all functions of plant to establish the organizational excellence and build up required qualifications, in order to provide satisfying services for all operation units and thereby meet customer demands.
b) Continuously display strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a future-oriented strategic focus
c) Manage operation KPIs in alignment with the levels of predefined/budgeted.
d) Identify opportunities to improve operation performance through improvementprocesses. Lead cost control and cost saving initiatives & programs.
e) Manage customer demand, production plan and operation resource (S&OP) to get high customer service level.
f) Develop and implement new processes to ensure that best operating practices are followed both to achieve operation excellence.
g) Manage employee relations to ensure policy and culture aligning with corporate.
h) Collaborate with other internal functions including Finance, HR and Sales to align efforts in implementing operations plans and supporting overall company objectives.
i) Lead the expectation and culture of zero workplace injuries through behavior based safety, daily shop floor safety inspections, and prompt root cause investigation of all safety incidences. Direct the CI activities of the site EHS coordinator in close coordination with the GC EHS teams.
4. F4Q & MOVE
a) Provide leadership for F4Q and MOVE. Organizes and champions F4Q/.MOVE initiatives for operation functions, and act on continuous improvements.
b) Role model “Zero Defect” as cultural mindset in the whole plant. Lead plant resources to strive for CI of processes and quality control, and monitor quality KPIs in order to take timely actions to ensure the plant quality performance.
5. Others:
a) Implement Schaeffler Group guideline and Schaeffler Great China policies as well as the plant regulations, ensure the operation functions are in compliance with internal and external standard requirements.
b) Report on the overall status of manufacturing operations by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information, trends and KPIs.
c) Undertake other duties, which are consistent with the nature of the job and the level of responsibility.
Requirements
1. University degree or above in the relevant field
2. Has experience of manufacturing in auto industry or manufacturing parts for auto industry at least 8-10 years on managerial level.
3. Good knowledge of applications and processes of products and customer support
4. PCR, P&L knowledge is a requirement
5. Fluent in English
