Position Title：Commodity Manager

Position Details
? Achieve Key Global Cost Reduction Targets
? Conduct global commercial negotiations with strategic suppliers
? Perform periodic tactical negotiations across company's strategic supplier base
? Drive EMS commodity management team for cost reduction plans
? Provide direction for Sourcing counterparts to achieve cost down through new supplier selection activity and re-sourcing
? Responsible for defining and implementing supplier business award
? Responsible for communication of contract pricing to Commercial Management for timely implementation at (EMS) suppliers
? Supplier Relationship Management
? Ownership and development of global supplier strategy
? Responsible for commercial / contractual supplier agreements for company's strategic suppliers
? Conduct periodic business reviews with key suppliers
? Generation and upkeep of Preferred Supplier List (PSL)
? Approve ASL proposed by EMS commodity team
? Maintain broad knowledge of marketplace pricing / trends and supplier capabilities
? Production Support
? Senior Escalation Management
? Responsible for the upkeep of relevant ASL and approved pricing records
? Responsible for approving market splits between approved suppliers proposed by EMS. Governance of the execution of market splits.
? Lead time reduction
? NPI / Design Support
? Ensure compliance with PSL
? Ensure best commercial terms on components which are major cost drivers
? Mitigate supply risk by appropriate supplier / second source selection

Required Qualifications

1. Engineering or Business education background. 7+ years full time of purchasing or commodity management experience. Mechanical engineering background is preferred.
2. Strategic business process leadership, Innovative, results oriented.
3.Strong skills in ERP, MRP systems with good linkage to business and finance.
4. With sound knowledge on manufacturing process, procedure, methods, cost analysis, market and product trend understanding, competition analysis, with in depth knowledge on local mechanical supply base and market. Has broad networking with the mechanical suppliers.
5. Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation aptitude
6. English speaker, able to communicate with senior management and global suppliers for effective purchasing strategy execution.
7. Good in PC skills.
8. Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure, to achieve the requested timing and quality of assigned tasks.
