Intel Open Source Technology Center (OTC) has a long track record of working on a wide variety of open source projects. Over the last 15 years, Intel has contributed open source code and sponsorship at every level of the computing platform, and our world-wide network of open source engineers contribute to many exciting open operating system projects, from generic Linux distributions to projects like Android, Tizen or the Yocto Project.

Now Intel OTC China Beijing SDK team is looking for talented and motivated software engineers on SDK tools developer. The team supports multiple projects and delivers product level development tools. You will develop and deliver great tools for world wide application developers to use in Android/Tizen/HTML5 application development.

Responsibilities & Duties

Responsible for developing SDK Development Tools for Android SDK, Tizen SDK, Crosswalk and others related to Intel's business. Your deliverables will be released as open source projects in public and used to various Android/Tizen/HTML5 application developers. In this position, you will closely work with Intel platform teams and also Android/Tizen/Crosswalk upstream. Your responsibility will include but not be limited to:

1.Design, develop and maintain different development tools that are used in Android SDK, Tizen SDK and Crosswalk.

2.Guide QA team on the test plan definition, test cases design and development, test result report.

3.Work with PM, release and QA team on the development plan. Co-define and meet product release criteria and published deadlines.

4.Work across language, cultural barriers and time zones with success.





Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communications skills. You must work well both on a team, and on your own. We require a candidate who is with excellent trouble shooting skills, very flexible and interested in different technical areas and always drive high quality of deliverables. Continuous self-education in full Android software stack as well as software development tools and methodologies will be a key factor in your success in this position. Effectively collaborating with internal and external cross-functional organizations and customers is another key factor of soft-skill.

You'd better to hold a Bachelor's degree with 4 years' experience, a Master's degree with 3 years' experience, or a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related field. Experience should be in the following areas:

- Experience with at least 1 full software product development cycle, from planning to maintenance. Experience on SCM role like build and release engineer is a plus.

- Master of Linux development tools and Linux system software development. Windows and Mac OS development experience is a plus.

- Experience on tools development in domains like IDE, GNU toolchains, Eclipse Plugins, Simulator/Emulator, debugging tools, profiling tools, online installer manager and so on.

- Solid background on Data Structure and Algorithm, and Operating System concepts. Proficient in at least 2 of following languages: C and/or C++, Java, HTML5 and 1 script language.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal communication and able to work in cross-geo and cross-functional groups.

- A love for programming and solving complex problems, and work with limited supervision.
