Job Title: Environment Leader - China
Reporting to: EHS Director China
Location: Zhao Qing Glass, Guang Dong Province

Summary:

Lead in the development, implementation and maintenance of environmental programs, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Chinese environmental regulations and O-I standard.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct Environment compliance audit in existing and newly acquired plants.
2. Develop Environment integration plan in acquired plants.
3. Lead Environment integration process to ensure the legal compliance in new acquired plants.
4. Maintain database of environmental permits, environment impact assessment, check and acceptance records and etc
5. Prepare/review permit applications, modifications and renewals.
6. Work with sites to establish environmental policy, procedure and guidelines
7. Track key performance indicators (wastewater, emission, waste, non-compliance) for sites, collect and maintain MSDS of all in-use chemicals.
8. Act as coordinator with 3rd party or local authorities' service provider for compliance monitoring.
9. Participate in region audits and assist with close out of non-compliance
10. Provide expertise to improvement efficiency of wastewater facilities

Requirements:

1. A bachelor degree with majored in environmental engineering or Chemical Engineering
2. At least 5 years working experience in environmental management
3. Good communication and problem solving skills
4. Fluent in English and Mandarin languages
5. Ability to produce results without direct reports
6. Strong communication skills
7. Detailed technical understanding of environmental and operations issues
8. Able to relocate in different region within China
