Archibat Asia is looking for a GENERAL MANAGER for a FAMOUS ENGINEERING FIRM to join its Qingdao subsidiary. Founded in 1958, this Group ranks as one of the largest European independant engineering consultancies. With more than 1200 employees and its strong international presence, the company offers integrated planning for all fields of construction planning: buildings, transport and environment.

Responsibilities:

The General Manager will lead a newly established company with the goal to establish an important role in the design and engineering market.
The General Manager shall:
- lead and represent the Company
- establish and develop the company strategy, goals and structure
- lead and coordinate the commercial and technical departments
- especially lead technical team and supervise HR decisions
- lead the business development and seek for new projects; supervise to prepare bidding documents
- conduct acquisition: meet potential clients, introduce the company, conduct negotiations
- coordinate the technical and commercial handling of the projects of the Company
- control the commercial handling of the projects of the Company
- a design and technical lead of the project would be an advantage
- negotiate and control sub-contractors
- present projects to clients with technical director
- report to the Board of Directors
- report to the investors

Requirements:

- Diploma/ Master Degree (or comparable) in architecture or engineering
- more than 10 years post-qualification experience in business and technical field
- working experience in international companies
- experience in China will be an advantage
- excellent communication and organization skills, highly responsibility and strong team spirit
- fluent in written and spoken English. Chinese or German will be an advantage
