Responsibilities:
Management
1. Responsible for logistics planning, distribution, warehousing and transportation.
2. Review and schedule orders in the most efficient and economical manner to meet customer and inventory needs.
3. Forecast and analyze logistics budget spending and const trend, check monthly expense and take corrective action to maintain agreed cost expenditure.
4. Closely work with sales & marketing, products, purchasing and other inner depts.
5. Work with FedEx/DHL/UPS and their brokers to insure smooth and fast customs clearance and import of scientific equipment.
6. Develop and train a strong team to conduct good logistics performance.

Import & Export
1. Lead a team to perform a professional, safe, efficient and compliant daily operation for the products covering scientific equipment and components in China, including:
a) Customs declaration process monitoring
b) Commodity code classification
c) Import and export licensing application management (mainly import)
d) Transportation management according to insurance guideline
2. Manage all import and export related payment, tax and customs duties with import and export authorities, carriers, and 3rd party logistics to ensure safe, efficient and effective transfer across China and overseas.
3. As the key contact with local Import and Export Customs and other government authorities, local and international 3rd party logistics suppliers such as freight forwarders, I/E agent, broker and transporter.
4. As the expert for urgent/critical import and export affairs handling.
5. Coordinate temporary import or export of demonstration equipment for tradeshows
6. Other projects and affairs as assigned by the management.

Warehousing & Inventory
1. Responsible for warehouse management and supervision including products receiving, inspection, storage, rotation, order selection, order consolidation, repacking and products loading into delivery trucks within the warehouse.
2. Deploy facilities, equipments and manpower resources to achieve pre-set performance and operational targets with good operation budget control.
3. Oversee cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory, if adjustments need to be made to find out cause and implement corrective action.
4. Identify excess and obsolete inventory and initiate action to dispose of and prevent inventory regeneration.

Compliance
1. Develop, implement and lead trade compliance program and ensure all of the operations and processes comply with the relevant trade and regulations through interfacing with appropriate authorities to determine regulatory requirements.
2. Manage all the application of certifications as required by local government mandated to import and export business.
3. Understand the local regulatory change on import and export management and introduce good practice/new model into company.

Requirements:
? Bachelor’s Degree or above.
? At least 5 years’ air freight relevant product customs declaration experience.
Strong understanding of import & export business work flow and relevant government laws.
? Preferred candidates are from Semiconductor, electronics and optical relative industries.
? Experience with importing small shipments of scientific equipment.
? Good English communication skills.
? Customs license preferred.
