Purpose of the job
1. Responsible for the construction project management of occupational health and safety in Raflatac Changshu.
2. Responsible for the monitor and implementation of the health and safety policies as well as procedures stipulated by the Company and local government.
3. Improves the health and safety management level and eliminates on-site hazards in Raflatac China
4. Follows up the developments of the legislation and UPM standards within his/her area of responsibility and participates in distributing information to the line organisation.

Key tasks
1. Develop the safety management of contracted construction project and monitoring the contractor to comply with UPM’s health and safety policy and other relevant regulations.
2. Assist to develop the Occupational Health and Safety system (OHSAS18001) and monitoring the implementation in China.
3. UPM Safety Standards are maintained and continually seek ways to improve them, that includes monitoring of local law and regulation changes, to help China terminals implement mandatory 20 Safety Rules for all Terminals to follow.
4. Communication of occupational health and safety to related employees.
5. Develop occupational health and safety risk assignment in working environment
6. Co-operate annual occupational illness hazard monitoring and medical surveillance
7. Manage unit occupational health and safety files according to legislation requirement.
8. Evaluate new chemical, equipment and process occupational illness hazard and control plans
9. Promote employee's safety and health awareness.
10. Ensure that all personnel have received appropriate safety and health training
11. Taking care of OHS information boards

Prerequisites
1. Bachelor degree in related field (Occupational Safety and Health or Engineering)
2. At least min 2 years Supervisory experience and OHS Management system experience (e.g. OHSAS 18001/SA 8000)
3. Good interpersonal communication skill
4. Fast learning ability
5. Tolerance, patience, and tact in dealing with people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures
6. Good command of English both in written and oral.
7. Good PC skills.
