Purpose and general responsibilities of the position:

? Responsible for managing all aspects of PO Management and shipping from PO issuance to delivery to the Port and all the milestones.
? Coordinate with supplier at North China area for production milestones
? Monitor the milestones for compliance. If milestones are not met, there is a good chance that ship dates will be missed.
? Visit supplier as Client requests AND/ OR Damco sees fit in order to get issues resolved, check on actual production status and/ or resolve any open issue.

Specific responsibilities of the position:

？ Manage Domestic Orders

？ Follow up on Production status making sure that ALL components are at the factory on time so that shipping is not an issue.
？ Follow up on In line Inspection schedule and report the status that the inspector (HF or 3rd party) was at the factory performing the inspection.
？ Follow up on Final Inspection Schedule and report and make sure that there are no issues preventing the PO to ship on time.
？ Help Damco follow up with vendors to make sure that incorrect documents are corrected in a timely manner (within 24 hours).
？ Keep the Consolidated Booking report updated in myDamco .
？ Direct Import Orders

？ Follow up on Production status making sure that ALL components are at the factory on time so that shipping is not an issue.
？ Follow up on In line Inspection schedule and report the status that the inspector (HF or 3rd party) was at the factory performing the inspection.
？ Follow up on Final Inspection Schedule and report and make sure that there are no issues preventing the PO to ship on time.
？ Contact the customer’s designated freight forwarder to find out about any special required documentation or shipping requirements. Update the customer contact information on the DI Daily shipping report.
？ Update Daily the Direct Import Shipping Report – Highlight and notify HF USA of any delays or shipping issues.

？ Quality Control:
？ Coordinate with Client appointed Quality Control agent to arrange on site QC
？ Visit factory on Client request AND/ OR as Damco deems necessary to monitor the task like material procurement, production schedule or QC follow-up.



Specific requirements for the position:

Essential
? Good interpersonal and communication skills
? Good spoken and written English.
? Good understanding on origin shipping process

Preferred:
? Knowledge of manufacturing and exports from the Chinese market
? 1 years working experience in logistics or production
? Relevant theoretical education (College / bachelor)
