1. Purpose of the job:

A Engineer Quality (Gear) is
- in staff of the line management
- Be familiar with products standards and train operators.
- Monitor measuring equipments and analysis measuring data.
- Make testing programs and trouble shooting.
- Gives technical support to the shop floor

2. Major accountabilities:

2.1. Inspection of the products (new + field deviation, Series Productions) and evaluation of Deviation Reports.
Communication to the concerned managers of Quality, Product Development and Manufacturing.

2.2. Accountability 2

Based up drawings and specifications of the gears provided by the R&D Department, he translates same into the measuring / quality assurance process in gear inspection area.

– “how to measure the component”, by
- setting up gear measuring programs;
- defining - for each step in the process – actions, tools
- writing working instructions for the quality operators .

He integrates special requests / urgent matters in planning of the Measuring Rooms.


2.3. Accountability 3

- Takes care of and coordinates the installation and commissioning of new machines and equipment in his functional area.
- Provides and maintains - in consultation with the shop floor - working instructions and implements same in his functional area.
- Co-supervises the correct execution of the working instructions.
- Deviations analysis and solution provided.
- Leads and supports projects to optimise the measuring process. These projects may be related to quality improvements, efficiency of the work place organisation, organization of the work flow and so on.
