1. Purpose of the job:
The Engineer Heat Treatment is responsible for the complete output of the HT department and coordinates the daily activities. He sets priorities, guarantees the continuity of the manufacturing process and optimizes the production capacity in order to reach the preset goals and objectives.
2. Major accountabilities:
2.1. Set the goals for the own department
Translates the Companies objectives into objectives and goals for the own department in order to output related to Quantities and Quality.
Examples of activities: Set up HT production goals of week, month or annual.
2.2. Establish the KPI’s
Establishes a measuring and reporting structure for the KPI’s in order to analyze and interpret the results, and take corrective actions when necessary.
Examples of activities: Analyze HT scrap rate.
2.3. Optimize the equipment
Ooptimize the equipment and auxiliaries in order to insure the utilization factor.
Examples of activities: Improve the fixtures.
2.4. Process improvement
Control / Optimize the processes in order to guarantee the continuity of the process.
2.5. Control human resources
Optimally use and optimize human resources, in order to reach the planned output and takes care of the necessary administration aspects for his employees.
2.6. Experience and knowledge sharing
Experience in working in a West-European – Chinese business environment..

? Participate in fora and events
? Sharing available tools
2.7. Team management
Coordinate, plan and steer departmental activities in order to reach the departmental goals.
Steer, develop and coach department/team members in order to maximise performance and stimulate people growth.

? Coach on regular basis
? Set objectives
? Communicate strategic goals

Education level: Master / Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. More than 2 years experience in Production, preferably in the power transmission or automotive.
