Job Description & Responsibilities:

Overview:
PwC is looking for a senior consultant to join its Thought Leadership team. This team is responsible for helping to develop insights, surveys, and publications to both position and promote the firm's points of view on key market issues.
The thought leadership team also assists with developing strategies for sharing these pieces through different channels (traditional and digital means) with clients, the market, and the PwC network.

Roles and responsibilities:
Some key roles of a successful candidate include:

• Support development of major surveys: APEC CEO Survey, Global CEO Survey;
• Assist in the end-to-end development and delivery of the surveys from hypothesis and questionnaire development, sample creation, survey fieldwork, story-board drafting and development of editorial content, production and editing, through to helping develop go-to-market strategies;
• Act as a key China contact on major global thought leadership and research pieces, acting as liaison between global and local stakeholders;
• Work with PwC subject matter experts to develop insights and points of views on issues relevant to business and government leaders in China;
• Take ownership of, lead and project manage research projects that will advance PwC's share of mind in important economic and business topics;
• Identify opportunities in planning, management and transferring research findings and ideas into practice;
• Invest in relationships with partners and subject matter experts within PwC who seek thought leadership and research expertise;
• Build strong relationships with external networks and members firms across the world, as well as other thought leaders outside PwC;
• Review manuscripts, ensure quality standards, check facts and sources, ensure consistency of writing standards and style;
• Interview subject matter experts, both within and outside the Firm, on major thought leadership projects and complex issues;
• Present research findings succinctly, both verbally and in written form to different audiences;
• Lead market research around trends, challenges and opportunities facing foreign and domestic investors doing business in China;
• Maintain and update existing database of thought leadership, insights and key publications;and
• Provide support in the development of thought leadership launches and alternative content production (social meia, iPad applications, videos, podcasts etc.).

Reporting structure & key relationships:

The candidate would report to the Head of Media and Thought Leadership.

Requirements:

• University degree, preferably with a business back-ground
• Back-ground as a journalist also desirable;
• Fluent spoken and written English; candidate must have excellent writing skills;
• Ability to read and write in Chinese (Mandarin and Simplified Chinese) highly advantageous;
• Team player able to work to deadlines and often at short notice;
• Analytical ability, problem solving, critical thinking;and
• Skills in PowerPoint a plus.
