EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1 Degree or above in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Electronics/Mechatronics engineering or related discipline.
2.Excellent communications skills in English (spoken and written), Cantonese and Mandarin.
3.At least 8 years experience in the development, project management and production of juvenile products including sound knowledge of fabric/plastics/metals selection, costing, and specification and associated manufacturing processes.
4. Fully conversant using Windows, MS-Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Pro-E/CAD software.
5.For Project Manager (Juvenile Products), experience in JP products (bouncer, swing, activities centre, play yard, high chair, car seat and travel system) is required. Previous experience in ProE Modeling (3D and Surface), Mechanism Design, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Material Science and Technology, Finite Element Analysis is definitely an asset. For Project Manager (Toys), previous experience in baby and toddler products is recommended.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Project Manager will report to Senior Director or Director of Product Development in HK Office and will be stationed in the PRC (Zhong Shan) if needed.

· Coordinate testing of parts and completed units to determine their reliability and safety. Recommend any necessary changes and manage the implementation of the changes.

· Review sketches, engineering drawings, specifications and prototypes from vendors and internal sources to determine feasibility, reliability and safety of the product.

· Actively manage new product timelines and ensure that vendors are on-track to meet committed ship dates.

· Work with Designers and Product Mangers in the development of product in regards to safety and reliability.

· Create product drawings, designs and sketches using a variety of media for internal and external communication and review.

· Review new vendor facilities as required.

· Work with QC personnel to resolve any issues that arise during production.

· Assist vendor partners develop engineering & production capabilities when needed.

· Any additional duties and responsibilities based on the needs and evolution of the company’s business, product portfolio, and market conditions.
