Essential Responsibilities

•Provide leadership to drive growth in business cooperation between GE O&G & China supplier base. Prevent or resolve quality issues that could impact business grow in the region •Primary Technical/quality Interface with Suppliers and work closely with various division of GE Energy on the following: -Conduct business, technical, and SRG surveys on suppliers, and sub-tiers as necessary, for supplier approvals. •Conduct First Piece Qualifications and Pilot Acceptance for NPI Programs, Cost-Out projects, and TOW programs. •Drive Continuous Process Improvements (Evaluation & Qualifications) •Conduct Product/Process Surveillance Audits with suppliers •Lead supplier improvement of process control, quality assurance systems and procedures thru use of Control Level Evaluations and implementation of Heartbeat Initiative rigor. •Manage Corrective Action Resolution, lead and verify the Corrective action/preventive action implementation for non-conforming materials. •Be Communication Interface with Business SQE/Eng./M&PE etc. •Initial Supplier Screening (QS/WP/EHS) •Critical-To-Quality Review with suppliers •Establish a structured approach for consistency and adherence to quality procedures and assurance •Drive continuous improvement of supplier’s quality, cycle, and delivery performance through Six Sigma / Control Level Evaluations •Develop quality strategies with GE Energy Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Engineering to reduce supplier risk, and eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may effect quality and delivery requirements. •Chair sourcing review to key NPI programs together with sourcing manager. •Drive supplier quality initiatives, i.e. quality system, lean, six sigma, process control improvements initiatives. •Monitor supplier quality metrics and report monthly to global team •Coordinate and communicate quality issues, actions and/or events with APO quality, marketing, PSO and program management. •Coordinate team's EHS

Qualifications/Requirements

•BS/MS Engineering. Hands-on experience in supplier development: practical manufacturing (shop floor) exposure. Supplier quality management or supplier technical development experience preferred.•At least 5 years hands-on experience in manufacturing process, quality control etc.•Expertise in machining, metal stamping, molding and surface treatment etc•Experience in EHS audit is preferable•Excellent English communication skills in both oral and written.•Excellent interpersonal skills
