Purpose & General Responsibilities of the Position:
Scope:
? Assist PRW Cluster Manager and ocean manager to have overview of ocean market in PRW.
? Assist PRW Cluster Manager and ocean manager to manage ocean carriers locally.
? Set up owned trade lane and product business development strategy; Carry out the development strategy and action plans for Damco PRW.
? Identify trade lane focused product by combing carrier matrix, rate and transit time, Damco network as of value proposition. Promote and take lead across commercial team including FS, Strategic sales and KAM.
? Good knowledge about the NAC and FAK rate in specific trade lanes as to support FS on CIF market.
? Maintain good relationship with carriers in China West on behalf of Damco.
? Promote Damco brand in the market among ocean carriers, suppliers and clients.
? Establish core supportive carriers/suppliers on the owned trade lanes and products
? Securing neutrality of Damco presence in PRW market
? Assist ocean product manager to develop and optimize new products related to carrier management.
? Assist ocean product manager in daily work to achieve the overall objective of the PRE/PRW LCM team.
? Assist Sales to approach to control business opportunity.
? Drive existing control business commercial performance.
? Coordinate tender/RFQ engagement if applicable.
? Negotiate allocation with carriers for any local procured.
Specific Responsibilities of the Position:
Tasks:
Cost and Pricing:
? Track the global service contract with carriers, set up the cost database of Damco PRW, and update it timely
? Collect and analyse the market information, update Management and the Sales team about market changes including the running rates in the market and the rate development trend as well as competitors’ actions
? Set up a FCL & LCL selling tariff rate/cost sheet and maintain them accurately all the time by monitoring the ongoing market development and keeping sales team updated in time
Sales Steering:
? Suggest or filter business opportunities to and from sales team; Update market development trend in Ocean to steer sales team trade lane developing direction
? Develop owned trade lane and product’s selling points/competition edge for sales team to sell FCL/LCL services and products
? Keep good communication with overseas offices for mutual actions in promotion on specific project corridors and trade lanes
? Following up sales pipeline, pushing PRW sales team to achieve the target within the pipeline
Product Development:
? Initiate close contacts with key overseas offices to identify market development/promote business opportunities such as new market demand, 3rd party carriers, new port development in PRW
? Work with team members and ocean manager to negotiate competitive rate offers when local procurement is requested.
? Design/search the trade lane/product solutions when it relates to ocean carrier’s service and space management in PRW
Business Performance Overview:
? Business analysis for owned trade lane and product
? Business data monitoring with constructive measures to further improve on owned trade lane and product development
? Keep close communications with Sales, FIN, CUS for regular business report
? Insure owned trade lane and product to achieve data quality for PRW
Measurement / success Criteria of the Position:

Specific Requirements for the Position:
? Deep understanding of the local ocean market

? 5 years or above experiences in freight forwarding or carrier industry
? Sales background is preferred
? Creative problem solving capability.
? Advanced communication and collaboration skills.
? Strong commercial understanding
? Strong sense of optimizing our profitability by making profit and reducing cost
