职位描述

Purpose & general responsibilities of the position:

The SCM & VAS Product Manager is the commercial owner of the SCM and VAS products (including CL) in China West with profit and loss responsibility. The Product Manager is responsible for driving the commercial direction and ensuring the product has the necessary supplier base to achieve the SCM and VAS budget.

Specific responsibilities of the position:

The SCM & VAS Product Manager provides overall management and direction of the team to:

1. Drive and execute origin commercial strategy
Product development, pricing, marketing, customer segmentation, and commercial direction to all sales channels (Key Accounts, Strategic Sales, Field Sales, Customer Service and Shipper Account Management) in collaboration with the NAS SCM & VAS Product Management team.

2. Business Development
- Develop sales collateral for the aforementioned sales channels
- Establish and maintain local market information covering main competitors, vendors and clients.
- Establish and maintain extensive knowledge of local service products.

3. Reduce costs
Drive cost leadership to provide customers with a competitive solution while at
the same time securing the highest possible profit for Damco by,
- Constantly optimising the balance between cost of supply and service level to get the best value for money through a combination of long term strategic partnerships, tenders, frame agreements etc.
- Where applicable draw on expert assistance from the Maersk Procurement organisation

4. Build up knowledge and market intelligence in our customers, competitors, suppliers, carriers and products to support both local and regional development.

5. Develop the budget and targets for sales and business development activities, and be accountable to deliver on these targets with the commercial team and the sales force.

6. Overall responsible for CO communication related to the SCM and VAS products and business promotion, marketing activities for China West

7. Operation excellence
Ensure deliverables of all products in SCM/VAS to high level of performance. Managing teams to improve customer service, including:
- Transportation
- Program management(Assigned Clients)
- Pricing team


8. Additional roles within the branch
- Active participation at branch level ensuring best practise sharing across different departments and involvement in overall branch initiatives.
- Manage or co-ordinate projects across departments and or branches

9. Strategic Direction and financial results
Constantly review opportunities and threats in the market and make the best of them based on resources available and strengths and weaknesses of same.
- Actively follow market developments and analyze these
- Recommend responses
- Clearly communicate direction to department colleagues

People Management
? Ensure organizational scalability to enable continued fast growth in Shanghai branch
? Setup objective and KPI for direct report, ensure their have clear understanding of expectation of them.
? Implement best practices, policies, guidelines and standards of branch and provide input to development of same to branch manager
? Define training needs of direct report and give them enough support to ensure continuous improvement of working efficiency.
? Organise, coach, challenge, develop, delegate and follow up with direct report.
? Create development plans for direct report, assess performance and hold direct reports accountable, monthly scorecard/KPI review is necessary.
? Ensure high performers and top talents are sufficiently recognized and rewarded - psychologically and financially.

? Tender hit ratio
? Peak season execution
