职位描述
New Position: customer packaging expert/engineer (CPE )
Core missions:
? Understand packaging customer needs
? Push development of Gemalto packaging business
? Marketing support (with Price quotations, Answer to tender, Mock-up).
? Deliver technical feasibility study in line with local industrialization or regional sub-contractors.
? Lead and coordinate subcontracting projects
? Contribute to identify new subcontractors and support transfer between subcontractors
Main responsibilities / TASKS:
? Pricing and cost communication must follow TBU Marketing directives defined every quarter and shall be done in coordination with Corporate Purchasing Buyer and Purchasing policy. Directives from Marketing define the applicable standard price list and margin policies (Marketing to provide margin objectives and actual).
? Provides support to field marketing as to feasibility, pricing (including transport) and potentiallead-times (thanks to Inputs gathered and shared with the plants, purchasing, subcontractors, and IMT [Innovation & Manufacturing Technology] for new equipment or processes).
? Acquire a good understanding of the customer’s packaging needs and competitors solutions, along with the associated logistics process.
? Drive customer requirements in regards to XXX ’s Standard packaging offer.
Nota : Indus team in charge to drive customers requirements in regards on industrial strategy - standard offer – site capacities - IMT short-term roadmap.
? When the customer’s request is out of the GEMALTO standard offer, supports the TC for defining the specifications, which will be provided to the plants or sub-contractors.
? If requested, contributes in the BAP process (mock-ups, printing BAT) – normally done by plant industrialization team
? Feedback IMT and BU on future customer needs and market trends.
? Manage communication of customer’s artwork to the sub-contractor
? Negotiates day-to-day negotiation based on their knowledge of the market and the Product
Project assignments
? Answer to request for information & quotation with a high reactivity
? Answer to tenders (contributor in the tender coordination team)
? , only if deeper technical advice is needed on the introduction of new packaging or on existing one , customer visit can be requested
? Sourcing : When requested by BU and Manufacturing management and Purchasing, contributes in identifying new subcontractors with Purchasing / Supply chain.
? Propose Marketing and Purchasing with technical advice for design-to-cost purposes (cost optimization of the packaging)
Internally
? Writes packaging specifications (including packing) and upload those spec in PDM
? Validates Subcontracting Packaging Purchasing Requests with high reactivity in accordance with Purchasing Request Validation flow and amount limits defined for the site and in accordance with best last offer negotiated with the subcontractor Communications
? Day to day towards manufacturing management, sales force & marketing, Purchasing
Customer & subcontractor visit reports. Feed BU Marketing, Purchasing and IMT with regional data and future product needs.
Qualification/Competency Requirement:
? College degree or above. Major in material science is a plus.
? Above three years of packaging paper corrugated board, the quality of the plastic bag products and other related work experience, familiar with SGS system is preferred
? Sensitive to the color, no color blindness
? Skilled in quality control and supplier management.
? Strong communication skills and ability to drive positive approach to production/submission challenges.
? 2-3 years experience within packaging industry sector or related position.
? Knowledge of color management procedures and quality management.
? Packaging production and/or engineering knowledge.
? Strong ability to analyze data and present findings supported by solutions.
? Good English ability in speaking and writing
