Responsibilities:

The Senior Production Geologist/Production Geologist is part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary field cluster team responsible for maximising business impact in the UK/Ireland Asset. Specifically, you will work in the Development Engineering (DE) function to identify and mature hydrocarbon generating opportunities as part of delivering the business plan.

Key accountabilities are but not limited to...

· Providing hands-on technical input and support in static reservoir modelling, volumetric, field development planning and well planning

· Dependent upon experience, to undertake 3D seismic interpretation projects

· Ensuring that all reservoirs within your team have an agreed “oil and gas in place” estimates and up to date geological maps

· Becoming an "Opportunity Manager" as appropriate to mature and deliver hydrocarbon generating opportunities

· Actively coach less experienced staff

· Involvement in Operations geology and well planning

· Providing geological input into well and reservoir surveillance / well intervention activities

· Providing support for Near Field Exploration, liaising with our London based UK Exploration team

Key Challenges:

The ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary sub-surface team environment; liaising with other functions such as Geophysics, Petrophysics, Reservoir Engineering, Well Engineering and Front End Facilities engineering.

Requirements:

As a successful candidate, you should hold a minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent / post graduate degree in Geosciences i.e. M.Sc. or PhD level. Dependent upon your experience, appointment will be made at the Senior Production Geologist or Production Geologist level.

A key requirement for the position is experience with building 3D static reservoir models. You must be experienced in the use of Petrel software. Experience in one or more of the following areas would be beneficial: 3D seismic interpretation, operations geology, HP/HT, field development and well planning or Exploration.
