ROLE: Systems Development Java/Flex lead developer

SCOPE OF ROLE:

The role is for a hands-on Analyst/Programmer with a particular focus on providing solutions to the Client Valuations team on the CLIVE platform

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/CHALLENGES:

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

? Working with the users and the team implement solutions for business problems, enhancements and change requests
o Provide oversight on the Tianjin team
o Take responsibility and be accountable for deliverables and implementations
o Design, Development and Testing of in-house solutions.
o Work with the users in analysing requirements
o Providing reasonable achievable estimates
o Monitoring, managing and reporting personal and team progress
o Assisting with System Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
o Assisting with User Training.
o Provide 2ndlevel support.
? Contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department and projects
? Play an active role in helping define and improve the platform



SELECTION CRITERIA:

Technical Skills
? Must have practical experience in the design, development, and implementation of proprietary software development through the entire SDLC.
? Excellent knowledge of the SDLC in all aspects.
? Expertise in
? Adobe Flex
? Action Script/MXML
? Java
? Hibernate
? JBOSS
? Oracle
? System Architecture (desirable)
? ETL (desirable)
Business Competencies
? Proven track record as a team lead
? Proven delivery record - on time, on budget and on scope
? Client valuations and client documentation experience an advantage
? Good interpersonal skills and people management skills
? Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
