Typical Responsibilities:
?Understand motor design for our current product motors and challenge supplier for design.
?Design IM/PM/etc motors based on different hermetic compressor applications, including fixed speed and variable speed.
?Perform competitive analysis of motors from other manufacturers to gather design and cost information
?Motor design activities should take into account timing, cost, manufacturability, efficiency, reliability requirements, standards, competitions, marketing specifications etc.
?Research, including literature and patent review and evaluation study on new motor technologies / topologies, such as novel PM motor and switched reluctance motors.
?Closely work with manufacturing, quality, and other part of the organization in all project phases including design / development and production implementation, etc.
?Develop prototypes and test concepts to evaluate feasibility of solution chosen
?Use instrumentation in motor testing
?Design protection system for motor compressors.

Requirements and Qualifications:
?You must have a Electrical Engineer Master degree
?0-3 years of experience in design of rotating machines
?Preferred working experience in novel motor / generators to solve reliability, performance, and manufacturing related issues
?Familiar motor operating theory
?Familiar with UL, CE, and other certification for electrical machines.
?PhD(electrical) is a plus
?Knowledge in control is a plus
?English TOEIC - 850 pts minimum
?Teamwork, leadership, curious, takes responsibility, etc

?Creative and assertive while making proposals and discussing decisions
?Practical and creative in problem solving
?Ability to work in teams and in a cross cultural environment
