Utility Engineer & Energy Champion

Responsible for: natural gas, compressed air pressure vessels, coordinate with TIB for government inspection schedule supervision of contracted work related to these areas


OVERVIEW :
This position has two functions to perform.
A. Maintains the utility supply to each units, response the urgent repair from operations. Plan the maintenance activities and budget for his area.
B. To be the energy champion of the site to track the energy consumption. Tracks the GHG foot print data for TEDA operation. Facilitates the energy saving projects from each operation in TEDA.
C. To be well backup for all task in SFM team.

MAJOR DUTIES :
? Response the urgent repair call among of TEDA site.
? Create the work orders for urgent repair send to the maintenance supervisor.
? Inspect the work done upon the assigned work orders.
? Close the work order at lease in week of the WO created.
? Settle the WOs monthly to have WOs completion.
? Track the energy consumption data, production volume etc, log in the process map of EHS monthly.
? Summary the energy consumption report to the units leaders.
? Propose the energy saving opportunities to the operation in TEDA site.
? Facilitates the energy saving projects and report to the units leaders.
? Creation and Maintenance of Documentation in support of all units in TEDA to insure that all Maintenance issues are addressed.
o Establish the master data template for the responsible area.
o Establish the master PM/PDMs for the responsible function/area.
o Update and maintains the master plan of the template.
o Spare parts plan within the life cycle of the facilities equipment.
? Team participant in developing Continuous Improvement Programs.
? Maintains and provides data in support of Budget development and control.
? Initiates Maintenance activities in maintaining Machine availability.
? Trains others in the Operation, and support of factory Machines & Tools.

o Planning - Level 4
o Managing Execution - Between level 2 and level 4
o Analysis - Level 4
o Decision Making - Level 4
o Managing and Improving Processes - Between level 2 and level 4

TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE :
? Background in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering Disciplines - Has a basic working knowledge of the principles and uses the knowledge, as part of a Team.
? Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation - Has a basic working knowledge of the principles, and applies them in their daily activities.
? Knowledge of standard Maintenance tools such as Infrared, Vibration, Noise signature tools and basic Statistics. - Has an awareness of the principles.
? Knowledge of Manufacturing Machines, Tooling, Total Preventative Maintenance and Facilities. - Has an basic knowledge of the principles, and applies them in their daily activities.
? Knowledge of Engineering systems, Tools and Databases. - Has a basic knowledge of the principles, and applies them in their daily activities.
EDUCATION :
Associate Degree in an Technology discipline, or 5 years experience in lieu of degree
Related Functional Experience. - 2-3 years.
Hydraulic diagnostic Experience. - 2-3 years.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools.
Bi-Lingual - Chinese & English

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCES :
ANY COMBINATION OF, IN ADDITION TO EDUCATION
"Hands ON" Maintenance - 2 years plus - minimum 1 year with CNC Machines General Mechanical work experience. - 3-5 years.
Technical relating to diagnostics of Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic 2-3 years.
Experience with Maintenance Engineering tools, systems and databases. 2-3 years.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
Ability to work in a Team Environment.
Continuing Education desires.
Strong Work Ethic.
Mechanical or Electrical Background
