职位描述

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES: Activities may include, but are not limited to:

Strategy and Implementation

· Prepare product development plans in line with Marketing, product development direction, product service programs, pricing guidelines (including std, off price list reviews and transfer pricing), and profitability targets.)

· Evaluate, recommend and implement on “Make or Buy” decisions

Product Launches and ongoing support

· Ensure ongoing product range profitability analysis and make and act on recommendations for profit improvement.

· Effective product stewardship to ensure correct product coding, product range width etc.

· Support and/ or lead new product development and technical service efforts.

· Manage and lead an implementation team in order to organize the internal activities necessary for a smooth introduction of new products.

l Ensure appropriate stocking at launch and ongoing for new product introductions in line with Marketing, Sales and Supply Chain and maintain and manage slow moving stock.

l Relationships

· Establish and maintain in close co-operation with the Market Managers a successful long term product strategy to achieve required sales value and margins along with the objectives (manage product life cycle).

· Collaborate with Purchasing to identify new and improved component initiatives.

· Collaborate with Market Manager and Communications Manager all product communication materials.

· Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure efficient and effective stocking of existing and new products.

· Collaborate with Product Development (PTI) to ensure rapid and effective stage gate development of new products.

l Model and promote the corporation’s code of business ethics.

l Growing the Business

l Grow the business by developing and introducing new and up-graded products for the market in order to meet market needs.

· Lead development of new products and manage implementation process in coordination with Production, Logistic, Purchasing and R&D.

· Develop and conduct product training for internal and external customers.

· Define and drive short and midterm product plans and longer term product roadmaps. Ensure that products under development meet market needs and fulfill company objectives.

· Use effective negotiation skills, work to achieve project outcomes around issue, scope schedule and resource constraints.

l Define tactics and deliverables for a 1 year timeframe.

Measurement and Analysis

· Assess current revenue performance. Partner with organization to ensure development of programs, tools initiatives to improve performance.

· Monitor product profitability and take pro-active actions. Initiate and implement cost savings activities.

· Measure and communicate results of (new) product sales. Initiate and execute product pruning projects.

· Set-up and maintain service guidelines. Manage products with respect to forecast, packaging, range, logistic requirements, etc.

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

· 2+ years business experience, Emphasizing business and/or commercial function management in a business to business environment.

· Experience with product development and product commercialization processes.

· Must be able to champion new business ventures.

· Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.

· Strong teamwork and relationship building skills.

· Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes and function specific software.

· Possesses leadership, mentoring, training and project management experience and skills

· Strong ability to multi-task.

· Excellent organizational and people skills, project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner.

· Effective negotiation skills.

· Six Sigma or Black Belt a plus.

EDUCATION:

· Bachelors Degree minimum

· Languages – English (Fluent written and spoken), 1 other language preferred, relevant to the region of activity (eg Mandarin, Cantonese, Dutch, German etc)

Others:

· Flexibility to travel on as needs basis (ca. 10 – 20%)
