Job Title: EHS & Admin Manager – China Automotive
Report to: HRD-China
Location: Shanghai
Business Description:
Company China Automotive serves OEMs and Tier suppliers in China with plastic and metal components and fasteners totaling approximately $130M last year (2012) in revenues in China. The group is a high growth platform with 2017 project revenues of $450M.
Position Summary:
The EHS & Admin Manager, China Automotive will report to HR Director, China Automotive and will be responsible for leading, organizing and coordinating all safety and admin activities of the Company China Automotive to support business development and growth, which includes driving cultural change, education, training, OSHA compliance and Worker’s Compensation reduction in China Automotive, close cooperation with the Company Corporate Safety department and the stakeholder from Company Auto Segment/ Platform for compliance with existing Safety Measurement Guidelines and Strategy is of utmost importance.
Responsibilities:
? Develop and implement the detailed Safety tactic, scheme and policies in conjunction with the Government mandatory legislation, Company Corporate Safety Guidelines and Company Auto Segment/ Platform Strategy.
? Define and demonstrate a strategy that will ensure reductions in Worker’s Compensation Claims;
? Provide updates to stakeholders on key deliverables;
? Develop a hands-on approach to improving the work environment for all employees;
? Have the ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
? Network to understand best-in-practice ideas internally and externally;
? Focus on key deliverable categories and formulate a group wide strategy for items such as but not limited to:1) Employee involvement and communication; 2) Incident reporting, investigations and audits; 3) Worker’s Compensation Claims Handling;
? Research all claims and conduct root cause analysis with the BU Management including Human Resources and be able to communicate the findings, along with corrective action;
? Be in charge of leading and managing all Admin affairs within China Automotive which includes but not limits the things are relative to Canteen, Guard, Public Safety, Cleaning and so on;
Position Skills and Experience Requirements:
? Bachelor degree major in Environment, Healthy, Safety or Administration.
? 5 years’ work related experience in a manufacturing environment required
? Advanced knowledge of Workers Compensation and OSHA regulatory policies and procedures required
? Knowledge of basic state/country regulations required.
? Familiarity with safety hazard and risk identification, evaluation and control concepts strongly preferred.
? Demonstrated customer service orientation with effective interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidential employee data and information
? Excellent communication skills in addition to advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and the ability to present information to audiences
? Ability to work with minimal direction
? Professional certification in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Environmental area strongly preferred
