JOB TITLE: Electrical Engineer
DEPARTMENT: Production Department
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Review and direct all activities in the Plant related to electrical, control and automation equipment/systems, with the goal of minimizing engineering and maintenance expenses without compromising safety, while continually improving productivity and energy utilization/efficiency. Major responsibilities:include design and optimization of manufacturing processes, plant support, and maintenance support.
REPORTING LINE: Production Manager
YEARS EXPERIENCE: 5 + years in same or similar role

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
? Co-ordinate, Assign and Review All Projects involving electrical and/or control activities.
? Investigate manufacturing/production problems and make recommendations for
improvements.
? Support the Troubleshooting and Training needs of the Maintenance Department.
? Optimizing the existing equipment.
? Modify/Improve existing equipment - (i.e. automated gage systems, control panels, safety devices, etc.).
? Design, quote, install and start up new equipment as necessary to meet capacity needs.
- Develop budgets
- Manage projects to deliver improvements on time and within budget
? Promote a safe work environment by designing equipment to keep manufacturing operators injury free.
? Responsible for PLC programming and HMI digital displays and design automation.
? Fault diagnosis on electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical production equipment.
? Involved in projects from the concept and detail of the design through to implementation, testing and handover.
? Reading and creating design equipment specifications and technical drawings.
? Servicing and maintaining equipment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / TRAINING / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
? Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
? Knowledge of the National Electric Code.
? Must have a high level of ethics and integrity
? Advanced programming knowledge of PLC’s such as Mitsubushi Q series, Siemens S7, Allen Bradley SLC 500 &
Micrologix.
? Programming knowledge of HMI digital screens such as Panel Mate, CTC Parker, E-Pro Canvas, Magelis and Pro-Face.
? Broad knowledge of the fundamental principles of electrical equipment design, statistics, physics and other related
technical sciences.
? Good Project Management and Time Management skills
? Experience working with Capital Budgets
? Ability to write/speak English and Mandarin Chinese.
? A positive, attitude and “no surprises” mentality.

DESIRED EDUCATION / TRAINING / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
? Knowledge of OSHA and other pertinent Electrical Regulations and Standards
? Basic Knowledge of Machine Safeguarding Principles/Standards
? Minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience with project budgets of at least half-
million dollars
? Must have good English Skills in both oral & written communications
? Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience (preferably in rubber industry and manufacturing environments) and a
minimum of 3 years of experience in Industrial/Factory Automation technologies including PLCs, HMIs, motion and vision
applications
? Prefer rubber/plastic experience in a Multi-National Company
? Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean
? Analytical in nature, with experience as a multi-disciplinary collaborative solution seeker.
? Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
? Demonstrated ability to influence others in a non-aggressive manner
