Objective:
Responsibilities:
· Team consists of 3-8 Program Managers / Planners
· Define objectives and manage PMs to meet their targets.
· Perform skills assessment and develop training plans.
· Coach, guide, mentor; serve group as PM expert / consultant.
· Approve expense reports, vacation requests and address personnel issues.
· Administer performance appraisals.
· Provide career enhancing opportunities and exposure to executive management to employees through delegation of activities
· Manage work load between department members.
· Oversee and ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all TPM deliverables.
Manage Projects
o Portfolio may consist of approximately 10-20 projects from automotive OEM customers in the EU, NA, and/or Asia
o Annual Revenue ranges from $40-$200M.
o Manage combined project budgets exceeding $1M for expense and capital together.
o Provide project status to Executive-level staff
o Manage PM support to Sales team on all new business opportunities
o Lead quote teams through the NBET process and ensure decisions support roadmap and benefit the business.
o Manage customer interface for project implementation.
o Ensure smooth implementation of engineering changes to internal and external customers
Manage Prototype Delivery and PM Processes for respective customers
o Manage prototype deliveries for projects managed from China.
o Manage delivery and supply of prototype samples for customer demonstrations and sound-tunings required by Systems Engineering.
o Ensure parts are available for prototype builds.
o Manage data integrity of Projects System for NA program managers.
o Ensure (and support as needed) program managers properly set up projects and schedules
o Ensure Gate reviews are held and PLM process are followed on all projects.

Requirement:
REQUIRED Specific Knowledge & Expertise
· Must be able to demonstrate many successful projects from concept through production. Should have achieved “high-potential” or similar designation for substantial portions of career.
· Strong communications skills (written and spoken) particularly in English. German would also be helpful.
REQUIRED Degree
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or hard science, but will also consider majors in economics or business.
REQUIRED Specific Prior Experiences
· 11 years combined experience in program management, sales, quality, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, or materials.
· At least five years in leadership position (functional manager, group leader, program manager, etc.).
· Must have automotive experience
· Must have experience working in a multinational company
· Working knowledge desired in the following areas: 1) Electronics Hardware, 2) Software Development, 3) Systems Engineering, 4) Mechanical Engineering, 5) General automotive program timing, 6) Harman organization functions, 7) Automotive industry, and 8) ISO, TS, or equivalent quality system 9) Acoustics
· Advanced degree preferred
· PREFERRED Certifications/License: PMP
· PREFERRED Customer Knowledge: Should have experience working with at least one of the following automotive OEMs: such as BMW, Volvo, Daimler, Jaguar Land Rover, Toyota, Subaru GM, Chrysler, Hyundai-Kia, or Ssangyong
