The Dover regional headquarters was set up in early 2009 in Shanghai and within the headquarters we have an Asian Procurement Office to support the different operating companies globally.

Dover’s corporate goal is to increase the sourcing spend in China/Asia to more than 15% in the next few years. Selecting the low cost and good quality suppliers is critical. This Sourcing Engineer will lead efforts in exploring, initiating, developing, and validating opportunities in quality improvements and cost savings and other supply chain related opportunities. http://www.dovercorporation.com.cn/index.aspx


Major Responsibilities/Duties 工作职责 % of Time
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
1. Project management of new supplier development targeted to meet specific strategic corporate sourcing needs.
2. Search out new suppliers as needed that meet Dover Operating Company’s requirements.
3. Serve as critical liaison between supplier and corresponding purchasing, quality, manufacturing and engineering personnel within the different Dover Operating Companies and locations.
4. Monitor the approval at tooling and FA samples (First Article) in parts qualification stage and zero defect quality level at parts made by supplier in production stage.
5. Direct interface with suppliers and Dover sourcing engineers + Quality in US / Europe / Asia Pacific on technical, quality requirements and related issues. Conduct supplier process audits when required to ensure process capability at the locations of suppliers.
6. Require frequent on-site assistance at supplier locations and strong relationship building efforts with supplier management and front-line personnel.
7. Performs audits to ISO9001 and/or TS16949 requirements.
8. Determine root cause and work with Dover Operating Company to solve engineering and / or process related issue. Utilize contemporary resolutions tools such as 8D, FMEA, Six Sigma / Lean and Control Plans to permanently implement solutions within the supply chain
9. Work with suppliers to ensure their compliance with stated quality DPPM and delivery MPM goals.
10. Measure supplier performance in terms of quality and delivery on continuous basis and work on continuous improvement with suppliers.


Key Requirements 主要要求
Education教育背景: Bachelor Degree or above, technical background required
Experience 经验: At least 5 years of experience in sourcing and supplier quality development fields
Language skills语言: Good command in English
Computer skills 电脑: Solid skills in Microsoft office tools
Core Competencies核心能力：
1. Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Mechtronic Engineering with purchasing experience preferred.
2. Strong communication skills, good team player and hard working.
3. Open minded, good problem solving skills especially when facing problems of intercultural network and matrix structure with multiple interests.
4. Experience with sheet metal/machined parts, plastic injection/extrusion and non-metallic components, as well as supplier development are desirable.
5. Knowledge of refrigeration system and application is preferred.
6. Good written and oral communication skills and able to work with minimum supervision.
7. Ability to travel frequently.
