RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Ensure designs implement proper technologies while meeting manufacturing, cost, and timing goals.
? Develop new product capabilities through new processes that employ alternative equipment (not currently used by the business).
? Analyze and solve the development problems related to new equipment and new processes.
? Design, develop, test, and supervise manufacture of equipment for TIM production.
? Work in industry closely related to computers and other electronic systems.
? Work as process engineer in NPI team to identify customer requirements, establish design expectations, and meet agreed upon design, performance, and goals for all NPI projects.
? Develop and maintain project timelines to ensure all key deliverables are met.
? Frequent communication with headquarters to obtain support or transfer of equipment or information to the China region.
? Provide necessary training to other departments on processes and equipment operation.
? Coordinate activities to accomplish prototype and pilot production runs and analyze collected data.
? Coordinate project activities to ensure release of products meeting customer requirements and timelines.
? Perform risk assessment tests and use results to improve design and reduce risks before reaching manufacturing.
? Contribute to the launch of new programs with the various affected global manufacturing facilities.
? Establish project plans and milestone charts for the content of a new project at the inception of new projects, then track and report on progress.
? Write technical papers on significant findings that can be used as a sales training aid, to help promote new products, or be published in technical journals.
? Maintain leading-edge technical proficiency and stay abreast of new trends and scientific developments related to the industry.
? Work with other departments in obtaining samples and test data. Provide other departments with information needed to prepare catalogs.
? Maintain laboratory notebooks to document the creation and development of new inventions. Prepare invention disclosures, and work with corporate attorneys in researching, writing and filing patent applications. Take any necessary steps to protect intellectual property, such as obtaining nondisclosure agreements with customers.
? Select materials of construction to meet processing requirements while embodying the most cost effective solutions possible.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
? Personal computer skills such as MICROSOFT OFFICE, CAD (AutoCAD, PRO-E), ERP (Tetra, QAD, Mapics, etc), Labview, PLC and Touch Screen programming.
? Fluency in written and spoken English language.
? Familiar with polymer processing equipment, such as mixers, extruders, calenders, and converting technologies.
? Excellent communication skills.
? Ability to work well in a Team environment.
? Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
? Works with management to establish project Milestones, and executes project plan with little supervision.
? Ability to work toward defined objectives with little direct supervision
? Demonstrated understanding of new product development processes and work flow
? Detailed knowledge of at least one SBU product line, with general knowledge of related or other product lines.
? Works well in a Team environment and guides the team as the "expert" in a particular field.
? Demonstrated experience in participating on multi-disciplinary product development teams
? Good knowledge of a particular technical area within the job responsibility.
