职位描述
Responsibilities:
- - Determine, build consensus for, and implement the Navigation & Telematics global technology strategy.
- Lead the design, development and delivery of new technology to further improve TCS Navigation & Telematics products and services.
- Manage a Navigation & Telematics team of diverse engineering professionals in multiple locations (including offshore sites): hire, train, set goals, motivate, coach, develop, and retain team members.
- Provide engineering direction for scope definition, allocate resources, and set priorities. Act as the technical "go-to-person" for team members. Provide detailed troubleshooting assistance while fully understanding project requirements.
- Ensure successful execution and delivery of engineering projects, and continuous improvement of the organization's ability to execute them.
- Communicate frequently with Architect, Product Mgmt, QA, Project Mgmt and other teams to enable planning, trouble shooting, and execution of development projects.
- Develop and maintains timelines for projects, reports on the status of milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly.
- Responsible for the knowledge transfer and mentoring progress of team members.
- Perform required administrative functions, including performance appraisals, training, and maintenance of required records.
Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 5+ years managing software engineering staff.
- Extensive experience in managing software system architecture, design and development.
- Domain expertise in wireless/mobile/telematics and location based technology (LBS/GPS) and applications, expertise in high performance and scaling. (High service level system a plus.)
- Proven ability to identify and realize long-term technology roadmaps that support strategic business goals relying on extensive experience, and a wide degree of creativity and autonomy.
- Extensive knowledge and development of successful engineering strategies.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Strong presentation skills, interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate with all levels in an organization.
- Strong ability in adapting to a continually changing environment.
