Job description
1. Responsible for the process development of new or existing programs, including assembly and sub-assembly equipment.
2.Establishes all in-house manufacturing related assumptions during new business acquisition stage.
3.Develops in-house manufacturing sub-assembly and assembly processes, in line with global best practices, using P-FMEA, MOST analysis, error-proofing, ect…
4.Establishes and implements standards, documentation and procedures for all new and existing products to ensure manufacturing capabilities, assist the quality assurance and customer specifications.
5.Continually improves manufacturing methods and process/design changes to facilitate increased profit potential and cost reductions.
6.Continually investigates and resolves manufacturing process problems and customer concerns to promote continuous improvement of production efficiency and customer satisfaction.
7.Manages equipment suppliers from quote, to technical specification, to delivery.
8.Assists in ensuring safety equipment is operational and safety procedures are followed to maintain high safety standards.
9.Performs process work which involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
2. Five to eight years of experience as process engineer for mechanical assemblies
3. Experience in the automotive industry is a must.
4. Requires a good working knowledge of procedures, including APQP, operating methods and managerial practice; or, a combination of education and experience that develops technical skills to perform routine assignments with proficiency.
