Job Purpose:
Our business has invested in a wide range of Microsoft components that are integrated forming a core enterprise wide platform from which we operate and provide services to our customers.
Our SharePoint capability is a fast growing area and forms a strategic part of our business plans going forward.
At the heart of our business operations, information is captured using XML, either from external sources or InfoPath forms within SharePoint. Biztalk subscribes to these sources through a range of adapters using static and dynamic routing and publishes the XML to SharePoint sites or other external ports.
As a Microsoft Platform Developer, your focus will be to design, develop and implement solutions on the Microsoft platform. This will involve overall architecture development as well as hands on development of essential components, e.g. SharePoint WebParts, BizTalk Adapters, BizTalk Orchestrations, XML Schema, InfoPath Forms and the development of the functional components that connect to BizTalk and manage essential business behavior.
Key Responsibilities
¤ Researches, designs and writes software based on Microsoft technologies to specifications, either individually or as part of a team of other developers
¤ Development of high quality and highly scalable applications / solutions
¤ Works with either internal colleagues or external customers to determine requirements and system impacts
¤ Generates technical documentation as well as unit and functional tests
¤ Investigates new technologies and techniques and researches ongoing industry developments
Key Measurable
¤ Demonstrated experience and knowledge in a wide range of Microsoft components including SharePoint (Enterprise) 2010, SharePoint InfoPath Services, Business Connectivity Services, BizTalk, SQL Server, SQL Reporting Systems
¤ Demonstrated competency in working with the Microsoft tools used to develop the platform, including Team Foundation Services, SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, InfoPath and VSTA, Component Management Suites, SSRS and SharePoint Power Shell
¤ Project and task oriented with a focus on detail
¤ Good communication and interpersonal skills
¤ Ability to write and speak English to a good level
