IBM now is having strategic investments in cloud computing including Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) products and solutions.
With the booming of the Openstack as the most promising Open Source IaaS project in the industry, on April 12, 2012, IBM announced joining the OpenStack Foundation as a Platinum Sponsor. The OSEE team is responsible for deliver virtualization and cloud services, leverage community for development efficiencies to enable IBM focus on differentiators. While contributing to the community, OSEE team also has mission to move on integrating Openstack to IBM SmartCloud-based offerings. There are great challenges and high growth opportunities for new initiatives, talent development and technical leadership growth in the team. We are looking for the talents to join with us to innovate in the exciting Cloud area.
You major responsibilities will be:
- Work with Community/WW stakeholders to correctly understand the whole product design and requirements.
- Make more contribution to the community, such as bug fixing, housekeeping, feature development, test automation development and so on.
- Take ownership for designs, implementation and testing to make sure product timely delivery with quality.
Job Requirements (skills/experiences):
- Master degree at least, major in CS or equivalent. The candidates graduated within two years also meet the requirements.
- Proficient programming skills in Java/C or C++; Familiar with Python is a big plus. Familiar with Shell programming is a plus.
- Good knowledge and experiences in OOA and OOD, design patterns.
- Having skills and experiences in following technologies is a big plus:
Virtualization (KVM, PowerVM, VMware, etc.),
Storage (Volume Manager, NAS, SAN, iSCSI, SVC, etc),
IBM Power Systems,
Database (DB2,Mysql, MongoDB,etc) and NoSQL DB (Cassandra, HBase, Riak,etc.),
IBM Systems Director and VMControl, Tivoli (TSAM/TPM/TPC), Distributed synchronization (Zookeeper,etc.),
large scale enterprise system, SOA, web service, REST, network management, monitoring system, test automation development.
- Familiar with IBM Development and Testing tools (RTC, RQM, Lotus Notes etc.) is a plus.
- Good experience on Agile software development.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and excellent team player.
- Fluent in the English language (both written and spoken).
- Familiar with Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Having strong sense of ownership and high accountability.
