Function: Quality

Goal:

Owns the BMS for Lighting, conform the ISO 9001 standard. Maintain a mind-set in which BMS and business/function accountability are closely connected and enable the organization through the deployment of best practices. Provides and applies the business process improvement approach in support of performance management and supports the Site MT and process /function owners to achieve this. Maintains a team of auditors and facilitate them to identify and drive process improvement thereby improving business and securing future audit results. Ensures that the BMS is consistent in itself.

Tasks and responsibilities

1. Maintain the Business Management system for the site within the business process framework to ensure that they are always complete and up to date, in line with customer, business and sector requirements.

2. Maintain certification for the site ISO 9001.

3. Continuous improvement: Link to business review structure>selection of key improvement initiatives, priority setting. Key enabler is auditing, focusing on key business processes identified by process stakeholders.

4. Maintain the audit team and review program to ensure compliance and improvement. Plan, organisation and follow up of internal and external audits.

5. Prepares and facilitates reporting & follow up on BMS development and improvement opportunities.

6. Maintenance of any IT system needed to manage the BMS, including access control and system improvement.

7. Follow up of management agenda

8. Drive the continuous improvement of the NPI process deliverables and milestone checklist

9. Shorten the NPI development lead time by cross functional alignment and eliminate unnecessary procedures, documents and waste.

10. Enforce the sustainability of the implementation of DFX.

Requirements:

· Experiences in quality management system (2 years in setting up the system or 5 years in maintenance)

· Experiences in managing improvement projects

· Ability in change management, project management with Lean/Six Sigma knowledge, fluent English

· Expert level in audit techniques

· Ability to communicate well and drive change in a cross-functional environment

· Systematic improvement systems (MEDIC, DMAIC, 8D,..)

· Problem solving techniques (Shainin, DOE, 7 tools, 4M,…)

KPI’s · Up to date BMS in line with BG and sector’s BMS

· Tangible evidence of process audits, and continuous improvement of a living system. Audit plan available.

· 50% capacity on BMS

· 50% capacity on improving NPI process
