Location: Fort St. John, British Columbia, Canada
Responsibilities:
This leadership role will be part of a growing senior production team at the field level managing major gas plants, associated wells and Gas gathering systems. The Production Supervisor will be reporting to the Production Superintendent and will have a approximately 25 to 30 direct reports and up to 40 people indirect reports. This field base role will require extensive day travel into the Groundbirch field to support their plants with return to home at the end of day.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing the operations and maintenance of all wells, pipelines, compressor stations at the Saturn field.
Responsible for execution of safe,efficient,value added operations work practices within the field in accordance with the How Work Gets Done (HWGD) process & overall Field site budget to maximize production capability.
Responsible for the operation of field facilities within established safe operating and OIA (Operational Integrity Assurance) optimized limits to maximize production,ensure regulatory compliance and minimize cost of operation.
Responsible for the coordination,supervision and integration of specific Shell & contract operators daily work activities within the overall activities and priorities of the site.
Responsible,in conjunction with Maintenance and Technical,for the approval & prioritization of all work notifications submitted via SAP (Computerized Work Order System) for the field.
Responsible for senior operations approvals within the electronic permit to work process for authorization of PTW (Permit to Work) and the audit of the jobs to ensure the safe execution of operations activities.
Working with appropriate production and reservoir surveillance teams and the IAP (Integrated Activity Plan) process provide the site with accurate production forecasts, latest estimates and coordinated well and surface equipment outages to minimize downtime and deferred production.
Responsible for developing,implementing,and reporting performance measures and value drivers for field operations.
Provide strong,visible safety leadership in compliance with Golden Rules,Life Saving Rules and promoting GOAL ZERO as the only way we do business.
Foster a climate that encourages employee participation in site safety initiatives.
Accountabilities:
Supervision of Shell hourly reports including setting of individual & group development expectations,KPI's and training plans.
Responsible for the Field "HWGD" work process as it relates to approval, prioritization, backlog management, PM compliance and scheduling.
Coordination with Plant Maintenance and Technical to enable the site to deliver its business plan.
Responsible for operations specific authorization of work within management of all field operations work within the financial budget set for the site.
Coordinate workforce such that scheduled work is executed in a safe and efficient manner minimizing production volume losses.
Identify and assess field operations improvement opportunities to support the annual budget process.
Manage and coordinate contract operations and contract services labour force at optimum levels for efficient cost management and production reliability.
Requirements:
HSSD Management systems:
Working knowledge of Policies, Standards, Practices, Procedures and Legislation governing Field operations, maintenance, and project activities.
Performance Management systems and techniques.
Strong technical background required in order to make key decisions or approve deviations with potential to significantly impact HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) performance and profitability.
Decisions must often be made with limited input in order to meet operational time requirements.
Technical knowledge required includes:
Reservoir limitations and constraints, well construction and well operations.
Pipeline design, construction, operation and corrosion mitigation.
Compressor design, operations requirements.
Budgeting and financial accountability experience.
Good knowledge sour field operations and maintenance.
Other Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years industry experience (Field and Plant Operations in Oil and Gas).
Minimum of 5 years leadership experience.
Minimum of 3rd class power engineering or post secondary technical diploma.
Strong regulatory and HSE knowledge.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong SAP knowledge would be considered an asset.
Good knowledge of sour field operations and mainteinance would be considered and asset.
Extensive travel into the Groundbirch field in all kinds of weather is required.
