Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Lead Manufacturing Engineering team, response for tooling & equipment; design, development & manufacture for new projects.
2. Lead Manufacturing Engineering team, response for working process design, development & implementation for new projects.
3. Coordinate project from Tollgate#3 Production Launch to Tollgate#4 Stable Production, and well control timeline to ensure production launch on time.
4. Manages installation of designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design specs, safety and environmental regulations and plant objectives.
5. Leads activities to design new or modify existing designs of equipment, to improve production techniques and drive continuous improvement in all metrics.
6. Assigning projects/tasks to direct staff.
7. Maintains working knowledge of new technologies and develops recommendations accordingly. Maintains drawings, Sharepoint, DCR system for the Manufacturing Engineering groups.
8. Supporting existing plant operations while maintaining current and new technology.
9. Supports the plant’s cost reduction program including involvement or ownership of specific cost reduction goals, long range cost reduction strategies and initiates or implements projects to meet these goals.
10. Assisting operations in meeting production schedules, minimizing unplanned operating downtime and process non-conformance, and controlling product destructs within goals.
11. Tracking critical parameters, taking actions to improve, correct and reinforce where needed. Includes quality, safety, and production rates. Also includes identifying, analyzing and developing short term and long term solutions to equipment/process issues.
12. Developing capital plans and operating budgets. Assuring financial performance goals are met.
13. Responsible for management and control of department budgets and meeting company objectives.
14. Assuring compliance to all procedures and policies concerning all areas of quality, regulatory, safety and human resources for all reporting depts.
15. Conducting performance reviews; developing growth plans; interpreting, implementing and supporting employee-related policies, procedures and programs.
16. Prioritizes projects and workload, develops goals and provides periodic management updates and reviews.
17. Coaching, developing and mentoring employees in areas of responsibility.
18. Be responsible for the recruitment, selection, development and retention of employees.
19. Assuring timely and relevant communication to and from all levels. This includes assuring communications between affected reporting areas and to related departments. Responsible for establishing systems that would enhance intra-and inter-departmental communications.
20. Fosters a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
21. Builds strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives.
22. Develops and executes organizational and operational policies that affect one or more groups by utilizing technical/professional knowledge and skills. Ensures the engineering team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively.
23. Makes decisions regarding work processes or operational plans and schedules in order to achieve department objectives.
Qualifications:
General requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2. Sensors & injection molding experience in automotive area preferred
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are also necessary.
4. Excellent computer skills (e.g. ERP, AutoCAD/ Solid Edge/Altium, including MS Office…)
Special skill and knowledge requirements:
1. Ability to organize and carry out multiple projects
2. Ability to design and perform troubleshooting in a high speed manufacturing environment.
3. Estimating and budget management skills.
4. Familiarity with ISO, TS system. And APQP process.
5. Some domestic and international travel may be required.
