Position Summary:
The China C&B Manager is responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, implementation and administration of Aleris’s China compensation, benefits, HR information systems and payroll programs and processes. The manager will ensure that the team executes on key HR strategies and will act as leader, mentor and career developer of the team to ensure appropriate succession planning. The manager is responsible for the development and implementation of Aleris strategy in China, focusing on improving efficiencies in process that enable lower costs and better resource deployment. The manager will collaborate with HR leadership and China senior management to help drive the company’s China Total Rewards, payroll and HRIS strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
?？？？？？？？？？Compensation: responsible for overall strategy, planning and implementation of Aleris’s compensation programs in China, including the company’s annual Compensation Review Planning (CRP) process, annual market survey, Budget, and competitive analysis process.
?？？？？？？？？？Benefits: responsible for administration of company’s China benefits programs and ensures that Aleris is compliant with all local rules and regulations; the manager also is a leader in any annual renewals/negotiations to ensure that Aleris is competitive for the continued attraction and retaining of talent for Aleris
?？？？？？？？？？HR Information Systems (HRIS): responsible for the overall support and continued improvement of Aleris’s HR information systems in China; this includes Aleris’s Oracle HR system, ADP Payroll, time & labor systems and other 3rd party vendor software
?？？？？？？？？？Payroll: responsible for managing the China payroll team including process improvement and continued efficiency/accuracy of payroll processing for China.

Skills & Experience:
? Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
? 10 years progressive experience in compensation and benefits with 5 years management experience
?？？？？？？？？？Experience working in a high tech, matrixed, global business environment with multiple stakeholders.
?？？？？？？？？？Excellent oral and written English communication skills with the ability to quickly adapt style as necessary.
?？？？？？？？？？Advanced analytical skills; Expert skill in MS Office—particularly Excel
