General Purpose:
Responsible for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to support a manufacturing organization.
Principle Accountabilities:
? Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability
? Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production
? Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters
? Trouble shoot process related issues
? Participate to activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements
? Evaluate and select various engineered materials
? Implement statistical process analysis on new and existing products
? Implement safety, productivity and yield improvements.
? Improve manufacturing techniques and through put.
? Develop and maintain process documentation
? Review processing methods
? Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer
? Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer
? Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required.
? Lead cost improvement/reduction programs
Education/Experiences
A Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience and training. for senior, 3~5+ years of experience;
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Demonstrates operations and technical skills and understanding of Flextronics’ functional standards. Demonstrates working knowledge of functional concepts and a solid understanding of Flextronics’ policies and procedures. Typically requires some knowledge of statistics analysis skill.
Scope/Impact
Impacts immediate (daily or weekly) operations of the team or functional area. Executes and may provide input to functional processes or technologies. Assists in achieving section/sub-function objectives for a functional area. Demonstrates commitment to implement initiatives.
Decision Making/Discretion
Limited decision-making opportunities or responsibilities; makes guided or scenario-based decisions requiring management approval. Provides input for team decisions. Decisions affect team. Exercises independent judgment within defined procedures and practices to achieve objectives; may make decisions absent management supervision using broad guidelines.
Supervision/Leadership
Normally receives general instructions on routine work but can work independently, and in some cases may supervise/oversee others. Identifies own development needs and works toward them. Demonstrates Flextronics’ values.
