Supply Chain Analyst
General Purpose:
Responsible for customer interface on strategic materials for key assigned accounts.
Principle Accountabilities:
1. Drives sourcing/pricing strategies in materials quotations.
2. Presents materials value-add to customers or suppliers, and influence customer to use Flextronics preferred suppliers.
3. Interfaces with customer or supplier in new project start-up, for cost of ownership issues.
4. Develops and leads implementation of flexibility and supply assurance plans.
5. Manages component cost/price on a local, regional and global basis.
6. Tracks materials financial performance, and initiate corrective actions when required.
7. Defines and implements pricing and costing strategies.
8. Coordinate sourcing strategies with Supply Management and Customers.
9. Develop an implement cost take down strategies.
10. Increase Vendor Managed Inventory, Reduced Lead-Time and Electronic Data Interface penetration.
Specialized Job Responsibilities may be required for certain positions. These could include on or more of the following duties:
Supply Management:
1. Manage regional supplier contract negotiations, which includes Memorandums of Understanding, Non-disclosure agreement, and regional pricing agreements.
2. Develop and maintain supplier relationships.
3. Measure and report Purchase Price Variance and initiate action plans.
4. Monitor and manage supplier lead times.
5. Mitigates shortages, excess on order and excess on hand.
6. Participate on and support global and regional commodity teams.
7. Contribute information/data on top spend suppliers for quarterly scorecards.
Customer Supply Chain Management:
1. Manages material cost reviews.
2. Drive initiatives to improve gross material margin.
3. Identify, implement and drive actions for Retained Purchase Price Variance (RPPV) optimization.
4. Drive reconciliation process with customer (PPV, Premium charges, carrying costs, freight charges, excess and obsolete inventory, Non-cancelable, Non-Returnable (NCNR), etc.)
5. Identify opportunities to increase turnkey business and develop materials management plan.
6. Coordinate quarterly/monthly PPV hardcall process.
Job Requirements:
1. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years experience in materials sourcing, commodity management or supply chain design/management or other related area.
2. Excellent facilitation and organizational skills required. Must have an understanding of cost accounting, electronic component markets, price trends and technologies. A background in electronics manufacturing and a thorough understanding of Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) product development process. To perform the major job responsibilities the use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: telephones, data entry, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages, and database systems.
