Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities
• Drive delivery and growth of China suppliers to meet GE Power & Water business needs.
• Be the technical focal point for supplier activities of process control and quality assurance of Wind composite parts such as blade, nacelle, spinner, etc.
• Establish a structured approach for consistency and adherence to quality procedures and requirements.
• Work closely with various divisions of GE Power & Water to conduct First Piece Qualification (FPQ), Supplier Surveillance, and Capacity audits.
• Aid in supplier approval process: manufacturing, technology, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and risk assessment.
• Support on Request for Quotation (RFQ) and new business opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement on supplier’s quality, cycle time, and delivery performance through RCA and Lean Six Sigma.
• Work closely with GE Power & Water Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Engineering to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may affect quality and delivery requirements.
• Support disposition of NCR, Pac Case and SDRs.

Qualifications/Requirements
• BS/MS with major in Composite Material or Mechanical.
• Hands-on experience in supplier development - practical manufacturing (shop floor) exposure.
• Supplier quality management or supplier technical development experience preferred.
• Solid knowledge on composite material processing, direct shop floor experience on wind blade, nacelle and spinner is highly valued.
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Background in interpretation of blueprints/specifications, metrology, and manufacturing process planning/evaluation.
• Ability to work in cross-functional, global team environment.
• Passion for excellence with high integrity, commitment to quality, fluent in oral and written English, willing to take frequent travel.
