Accountabilities:

-Work according to the export process:

o Receive shipping instruction from customer service colleague

o Issue permit to transfer, arrange trucker and warehouse requirements

o Monitor and confirm arrival of freight

o Receive documents from shipper

o Break down and distribute into files and calculate charges

o Call other broker if necessary with charges due and inform availability

o Issue steamship release to warehouse

o Mention all local charges on shipping instruction

o Close file, pass invoices and credit memos

o Post information on system

o Sent pre-alert to overseas

-Responsible for customer contacts, follow up contacts per telephone and visits

-Regular work with invoices, calculations of profit split and commissions, tracking and correcting mistakes in supplier invoices and following all quality routines

-Assist in supplier and customer queries

-Arrange collections and deliveries

-Contribute to development of team

-Assure timely billing as per company policy

Requirements:

-Familiar with and well able to work within the export process

-Knows supplier conditions, deliver terms, Inco terms and purchasing conditions

-Knows risk and insurance terms

-Knowledge of Customs tariff

-Good communication skills

-Able to manage own working time effectively

-Good command of local language and English
