Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities
Effectively set up and manage GE’s relationship with various transaction banking partners in China to ensure superior service delivery, price discovery and fulfillment of GE business’ transaction banking needs. Structuring solutions & advisory for GE businesses: Work with the selected banks and GE businesses to structure most optimal trade, cash & custody arrangements. Optimize liquidity management across GE by structuring arrangements for cash pooling, deposit placement, cross border sweep etc. with banks. Provide policy guidance, account management approvals (VAULT) and exception management for GE businesses in China. Lead efforts on coordination, trouble shooting and escalation for: Key M & A and cash repositioning transactions Payment failures, SWIFT or connectivity projects Other areas of critical treasury & banking support Work with the Treasury Legal & Risk teams to negotiate ISDA’s, cash pooling agreements, account management documentation, KYC & AML documents and any other treasury related agreements for China. Support the Transaction Banking leader (EMEA & APAC) and the China Treasurer in driving simplification, standardization and key controllership initiatives (Cash Pool clean up, CAS observations, signatory update etc.)

Qualifications/Requirements
A minimum of 10 years of total work experience of which 5+ should be in a Corporate Treasury, Banking, or Financial Operations environmentExcellent communication skills (written & verbal) in English & Mandarin. Experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions; able to deliver messages effectively verbally and in writing; ability to prioritize and effectively work with unstructured deliverables and manage multiple stakeholders.Good knowledge of the regulatory landscape in China and the business environment. Ability to use MS Word, Excel and Power Point applications. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree

Desired Characteristics
Experience in the area of Transaction Banking (Cash & Trade)Post graduate qualification (CPA/MBA or equivalent)Existing relations with regulators (SAFE, PBOC, CBRC) is a plus.
