Role Summary/Purpose
The Plant Manager will be responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of the Order to Receipt Process, building a world class global supply chain center including master scheduling, planning, sales and operations planning (S&OP), materials purchasing, inventory management, lean manufacturing, and customer satisfaction (internal and external). This role provides overall leadership in the attainment of goals about safety,moral, quality, cost, on time delivery, productivity improvement

Essential Responsibilities
 Develop and maintain the vision, strategy and tactical elements of the operational plan for the supply chain activities to ensure plan attainment.
 Supervise entire operation of schedule attainment, production, inventory management, materials purchasing and provide leadership.
 Lead team to achieve goals in asset utilization, process/manufacturing improvement, delivery commitments with good quality and cost reduction
 Ensure assigned employees are aware/comply with all GE, government, customer and applicable policies, procedures, rules and regulations
 Develop necessary business plans to enhance all program requirements, including throughput, labor hours, cycle, and cost productivity.
 Management of the supply chain process for new product launches to ensure products are released on-time to meet customer expectations
 Create annual cost center and capital expenditure budgets – Must be able to deliver results on or under budget
 Coach, mentor and develop team members to achieve world class manufacturing standards.
 Efficiently manage plant maintenance
 Liaise and promote teamwork with all other functions.
 Investigate and implement improved processes where feasible
 Maximize the efficiency of workshop, planning, warehouse activities and effective employment utilization.

Qualifications/Requirements
 Bachelor’s degree in a related field, MBA is preferred.
 Thorough knowledge and application of supply chain management strategies and concepts. Lean Champion and or certified Black Belt with demonstrated ability to use methodologies including, but not limited to, Goal Deployment, Kaizen, value stream mapping, 5S implementation, one-piece flow, etc.
 Broad working knowledge of a wide range of processes including, but not limited to, sheet metal forming, plastic injection molding, wire harness assembly, printed circuit board assembly, die casting, machining and wet painting.
 Excellent and thorough working knowledge of ERP systems.
 Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English
 Strong financial and analytical skills.
 Superior inter-personal skills and influencing skills. Ability to deal with ambiguity and to lead when it occurs.
 Demonstrated success in change management and organizational transformation within a performance-oriented environment.
 Must be able to interact directly with customers and with all levels of organization. Be able to successfully present complex concepts to top level management.
